SYNOPSIS
On January 28, 2020 a conference room on the second floor of the Media Lab was reserved for a symposium on the contemporary possibility of designed data capture within institutional memory frameworks. The table was set with all proper materials to guide participants toward desired actionable outcomes. Water glasses were refilled to maintain proper hydration levels for encoding bits into a distributed storage field. The event experienced an unexpected overflow of data beyond storage capacities, resulting in a mess on the floor that was expunged with a vacuum. In the course of cleanup, one water glass was regrettably shattered—likewise resolved with vacuum.
